I am in Albany, New York preaching a meeting at First Assembly of God here June 1 - 3, 2008.

Monday, May 26, Memorial Day, I flew in from a meeting in Bennington, Vermont and was picked up at the Airport in Little Rock by Bobbye and five of my grandchildren Tori Beth and Adar Nelson from Milan, TN and Elisah, Josiah and Zion Conley from Knoxville, TN. I got to be at home with that crew all last week (May 26-31). What a time we had. I so much enjoyed having them there with us. We laughed and swam and fished and just had a terrific time. I don't know if the kids enjoyed being with old folks like us or not be I know we sure enjoyed having them with us.

Later in the summer we hope to have 5 more with us for a week.

Once again my wife proved that she is a terrific Mommy and an even better Mammy. If she was not a married woman I'd ask her to marry me.

Thank God, Mammy, Tori Beth, Adara, Elisha, Josiah and Zion for a wonderful week for a Big Daddy. You are all loved very much!

I'm a blessed man. I've traveled in 48 states, 18 foreign countries and seven Provinces of Canada, but I'd rather be at 3863 Bells Chapel Road East in Atkins, AR with my family than any place under the sun.

Nashua, New Hampshire, May 22, 2008

Greetings from Nashua, New Hampshire. I've been here in Nashua this week preaching at the Christian Bible Church for Pastor Gary Stearns. We've had a wonderful meeting this week.

One lady came forward for salvation on Sunday morning. Then Sunday night we had at least 6 filled with the Holy Ghost according to Acts 2:4 and Acts 19:6. Then another 9 or so came forward to be refilled with the Spirit in the same fashion. PTL!! Each night we have had nice crowds and a wonderful spirit of revival. Christian Bible Church is on the move for Jesus!! The people received me with great grace and we just had a wonderful time here.

On Wednesday, May 21, I had the wonderful opportunity to be a guest in the home of a beautiful couple from Kenya. John and Ann were their names and they have two fine sons, David and Paul. They have been in the USA for about 6 years now. They invited me to their home for a meal and what a wonderful feed they put on for me. Some wonderful African dishes that I cannot spell but tasted so delicious. Bobbye and I have been to Kenya twice to preach the General Council of the Assemblies of God in Kenya. So we had wonderful conversation about their native land, Kenya. It was very refreshing to be with them.

Today, May 22 is my birthday!! I will not tell you how old I am but I was born in 1947 so you'll have to figure that up for yourself. Being way up north here and away from my family on my birthday is not that exciting but we have a big plans for a birthday celebration for my brother, Donald, and I next Tuesday. Don's birthday is May 20 and I will not tell you how old he is either but he was 14 when I was born. So he and his wife and his son are going to be in Pope County next week and we are going to have a big birthday bash there on Tuesday.

Next week Bobbye and I are going to have house guests all week. They will be our grandchidlren form Tennessee, Elisha, Josiah and Zion Conley from Knoxville and Tori Beith and Adara Nelson form Milan. We are going to have a great time, I can't wait. I do not plan on being much of a preacher next week, just a grandpa.

Well, I'll be traveling over to Bennington, Vermont tomorrow where I'll be preaching this weekend at the Green Mountain Christian Center for Pastor John Goyette. I did a revival meeting for them last year. I left there on Friday and the following Friday lightning struck their beautiful practically new building and burned it to the ground. They have since bought an old Methodist church building in downtown Bennington and are now worhsipping there. I look forward to serving them again.

I'll be flying home on Monday to the waiting wife and grandchildren.

Be blessed and I hope you have a happy day on my birthday!!

Sam

Get Terry MacAlmon's "Live Worship" CD album from us. Actually I'm having a bowl of (sugar free) ice cream as I write this.

There's no place like home is there? If you are at home all the time, home may not seem that special to you. However, when you travel as we do it's always special to be at home. I drove all the way from Albq. NM one week ago yesterday just to be at home an extra night. I am very thankful tonight for a place to call home. As many of you know for the last several years home has been the motor home, for which we have been very greatful also, but now we are in our house and enjoying it sooooo much. God has certainly been good to us to allow us to have a nice place like this be at home in.

Sunday coming (May 11) is a double special day for all of us. Mother's Day and Pentecost Sunday. I suppose Pastor's will be torn between the two special occasions to focus their service on. However, for me it is clear what I shall do. I will pay special attention to the wonderful gift of Mother's but preach on Pentecost.

Everyone who is aware of anything is aware of the special nature of Mother's. Most all of us are here because of one, right? If you are a mother you are a special person. Our world is such a better place because of mothers. In 1 Kings 2:19 Solomon had only been King for a very short time when his mother entered the room. "The King" at that point "rose up to meet her" he "bowed himself unto her." The NIV says he then had "a throne" brought in for her to sit on at his right hand. The entire Kingdom had to stop while Solomon, the wisest man who ever lived, honored his mother. This wise man sat a pattern for us all to follow in that he greatly honored his mother.

If you read on in the text you will find that his mother was actully being used as a stooge by Adonijah to work against Solomon. It no doubt broke Solomon's heart when the lady he had so honored moved dishonorably toward him, however, he honored her and the position she held.

Your mother may not be all you would like for her to be but as you honor her as your mother you can claim the promise of God, Exodus 20:12 "Honour thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land. . ."

So we all know this day is set aside to honor your mother, so we really do not need a sermon on that fact, our traditions and the Word teach us to do that.

However, how much do we really know about The Day of Pentecost? I mean even we Pentecostals do not really know what Pentecost was about. It was on the Feast of Pentecost the mighty Holy Spirit was poured out on the 120 in the upper room, Acts 2. But what was Pentecost about, what was going on? Well, I intend to dig into that Sunday morning and Sunday night at the Oak Grove Assembly of God in Monticello, Arkansas. If you are interested in the subject and would like to hear what I have to say about it, we might be able to get you the messages on CD.

Happy Mother's Day and my the same event that happened on the Day of Pentecost in Acts 2 happen in your world on Sunday and every day.

April 16, 2008, Pea Ridge, AR

Greetings dear friends.

We are, today, in Pea Ridge, Arkansas. WOW, we got two March snows right in a row. It snowed on Monday night and Tuesday morning, March 3 and 4 (that's the one that shut the meeting in Evening Shade, AR down) some parts of our county got as much as foot of snow that time. That snow had not melted good until it hit us again on Thursday and Friday, March 6 and 7. Since then we've had everything from rain, to sunshine to hail and lightning storms. This weather is something else around here the year.

We will be traveling to Huntington, Arkansas March 16. The Pastor there is our friend Charlie Murphy. So please be in pray with us for a great day there.

I'd like for you to look at my latest "Fresh Bread" article just a little above and to the right there, I think it might challenge you thinking a little bit.

Sunday A.M. and P.M.

March 16, 2008

Huntington Assembly of God

Huntington, Arkansas

Rev. It is a pleasure to have you visit with us.

We have been at home for a few days. We've only been preaching weekends for a little while now, but it's time to get back on the road today.

We had a good weekend in Springhill, LA (Feb. 10) with Pastors Garth and Linda Collier. These are great friends and we have preached for them so many times. This time we did not take the motor home (this over $3.00 per gallon diesel has taken a lot of the fun out of driving it) but we stayed in a nice little guest house owed by Bro and Sis. Harold Morgan. We appreciate the comfortable place to stay. One young lady came to the Lord that morning and at least one was baptized with the Holy Ghost on Sunday night. We decided to drive back home after service on Sunday night (about a four hour trip). Between Prescott and Gurdon, Arkasnas (about 15 miles) we must have seen 60 deer grazing on the side of the road. That's pretty dangerous since you never know when one of them is going to step out in the road. However, we arrived home about 12:30 a.m. safe and sound.

The week days following Spring Hill (and this past week as well) we have just been hanging out at home. Many people have said "are you finished with your house?" to which I reply "are you ever finished wiht a house?" We are living in it very comfortably but there's always something else to do it seems. I can't tell you how much Bobbye and I are enjoying being in here. Every morning when I get up I thank God for a roof over our head. That is, a roof that doesn't have a steering wheel. We have always had a roof over our head but it sure is nice to have a regular house to awaken in.

We had scheduled Sunday Feb. 17 to be a kinda laid back Sunday in which we attended the dedication service of the First Assembly of God in Conway, AR where our dear friends Mike and Ellen McNeely pastor. They have build a new complex and the dedication was the 16th so we wanted to be there with them. That was all we had scheduled for that day but on Saturday, Feb. 16, Pastor Larry Horn Pastor at Pottsville Assembly of God in Pottsville, AR called and said he was sick and wanted me to fill in for him on Sunday morning and Sunday night. So instead of being a laid back day it was a full day with preaching there and attending the dedication service. However, it was a good full day and we were blessed to be involved at both locations.

Wednesday, Feb. 20 we were planning to attend Bible Study at our home church, Ada's Bells Chapel Assembly of God, but Bro. Henry Bateman came down sick and invited me to fill in for him Wednesday night. So I ended up preaching for him that night.

So, we will be headed for Bradford, AR for our next meeting about 1:00 p.m. today. We look for a great time in Bradford this week.

I pray all is well with your family. Spring is not far away so keep looking forward! I've gotten a few phone calls and emails from our friends in Northern Maine and they are buried in snow up there. It seems there's just one snow storm after another hitting them, so I know they are looking forward to spring.

Be blessed,

Sam and Bobbye

Feb. 24 - 27, 2008

Assembly of God

Bradford, Arkansas

Rev. Our ministry there included ministering in a Pastor's Seminar at the Assemblies of God Headquarters there in San Jose and in local church in the area. Fifty Pastors and another 100 church leaders from through out the country were registered. It was an an extremely young audience. We almost felt it was a youth convention rather than a Pastor's conference. Those who attended the meeting soaked up everything that was taught. We worked in conjunction with other minsters in our team, William and Linda Hegeman, Danny Knick and Peggy Foster. Each of us took turns teaching. I also was sent to three different local churches to minster in the evening services. People were saved, people were filled with the Holy Spirit and I am confident that people were healed. We all felt very confident that we accomplished the will of the Lord in these meetings. The people seemed to be very appreciative that we were there and with what we shared with them. I am confident that the churches these leaders represented will be stronger because of the seed of the Word of God we sowed in them.

Bobbye and I arrived home about 4:30 P.M. on the 18th. Our evening was spend washing cloths and repacking and loading for revival in south Louisiana. We left before daylight on Saturday Jan. 19.

Our meeting started at Northside Assembly of God in Crowley, Louisiana on January 20. Our Pastor for the week was Rev. Loyd and Patsy Singley. In about 1973 when I had just started preaching my Pastor, Rev. Elton Cole, took me to a revival meeting at the Perryville, Arkansas Assembly of God church. The evangelist that night was Loyd Singley. That night God called me to be an evangelist. So Bro. and Sis. Singley have been our heros for about 35 years, and it has been such an honor to preach for them on numerous occasions. I deeply regretted that I was attacked by a bad assault of bronchitus during the week and really didn't feel up to preaching. However, we had a wonderful revival, a number of people were filled with the Spirit.

Sunday January 27 we had moved to Thibodaux, Louisiana under the leadership of Pastor Walter Rose. This was our first revival with the good folks at Thibodaux and the Lord gave us great favor with them and the Pastor as well. We do thank God for new friends in south Louisiana. I believe there were five filled with the Holy Ghost on Wednesday night.

We are no with our daughter, Lori, and her family at their home in Bossier City, LA. She and her husband, Dan, are on staff at Central Assembly of God in Haughton, LA and we will be preaching there on Sunday.

Be blessed and thank you for your prayers and support!

Sam and Bobbye

Sunday, Feb. 3, 2008
9:15 A.M., 10:15 A.M. and 6:00 P.M.
Central Assembly of God
Haughton, LA
Rev. As for us we had a wonderful holiday with friends, and family.

Christmas day Bobbye's two sister's and their husbands and her mom, along with Lori and her family were here at our house for Christmas lunch. We had a great day. This was the first time we have been able to entertain family in our house in several years now. Only a few days before Christmas we moved in to our newly remodeled house here in Atkins, AR. What a joy to be in our own place for Christmas.

Then on New Years all four daughters and their families (except for two son-in-laws who could not come) were here with us. We have worked on this place every spare moment for the last five years and to have the kids and grand children here for New Years (that is when we celebrated Christmas with them this year) made all the hard work worth every minute of it. We had a great time together.

We had big fire outside several times and roasted hot dogs and marshmallows a number of times. My grandchildren burned everything burnable around here. They sure enjoyed the fire and so did we. One afternoon I got them all in my S-10 and went through our pasture gathering up wood to burn that night. They worked very hard gathering fire wood, they loaded the pickup. It was such a hoot to get to do that with them. And they had a time too.

So holidays are over and it's back to traveling again in the next few days.

I want you to pray with me about a couple of things.

My sister-in-law, Carlene Austin, will have surgery Jan. 9 to remove a mass that has been found where the small intestine and the large intestine come together. The outlook is not good but God is and we call on Him to intervene.

It's been a while since I've posted on my site. I might explain a little bit about that. I get online most of the time with a laptop connect card connected through AT&T. It works just like a cell phone hook up, and if you have a cell phone you know that sometimes you have a signal sometimes you don't. The exact something happens with this gizmo, sometimes I've got a signal and sometimes I don't and if I do not have a signal I have no way of getting online unless the church I'm serving has a wireless router, which, the church we are serving right now happens to have. So I am able to get online through their system, but to get a signal for my laptop card is impossible right here. So, thankfully, I'm able to communicate with you this week because of that set up. If you go a while without getting a report and request for prayer it most generally is because I do not have a signal to get online with the laptop connect card.

We are in Rose Bud, Arkansas this week. We started our revival meeting here yesterday. Rev. Doug McClure is the Pastor here. I was his Pastor when he was a teenager, and we met his wife, Thelma, when she was just a teenager as well. We worked a church camp with her many years ago and made her acquaintance. She and Bro. Doug have been married for quite sometime now. They have three children. one married, one in college and one in high school, and a great church here in central Arkansas. They also have a new building here that is absolutely beautiful, this is one classy place. Our meeting got started well yesterday and we are expecting, with the aid of your prayers, to have a great meeting here in Rose Bud.

Last week I was in Timbo, Arkasnas with Pastor David Campbell. Rose Bud is a small town but Timbo is even smaller than Rose Bud, but both places have wonderful facilities. Bobbye stayed home last week, due to several reasons, and I stayed in the evangelist's quarters in Timbo. We had a great revival there, four people were filled with the Holy Ghost in those services.

Next week we will be in Haynesville, LA with Pastor Jeff Willis, Nov. 18-21.

We will also be in Bossier City, LA with our daughter Lori and her family and our daughter Tina and her family for Thanksgiving Day.

Hope you have a great week and thanks for your prayers.

Sam and Bobbye

Check out our new Fresh Bread article, click on Fresh Bread above and to the right.

Saturday, October 6, 2007, Monticello, AR

Greetings dear friends!

Please check out the new survey on this home page.

Until my webmaster has time to go online and make the changes in our address I continue to remind you that Bobbye and I have now changed our place of residence to Arkansas. After 22 years in Tennessee it is time to return to our roots in Pope County, Arkansas. Our new mailing address is: 3863 Bells Chapel Road East, P.O. Box 26, Atkins, AR 72823. Our phone numbers and email address remains the same as published else where on this web site.

We just concluded a very successful revival meeting at the Unity Assembly of God near Pottsville, Arkansas where Rev. Mike Sullivan is the Pastor. We found the people of this assembly very open to revival and very responsive to each sermon preached. Six were baptised with the Holy Spirit with the initial physical evidence of speaking with other tongues.

Saturday, Sept. 29, found Bobbye and I working with the Chi Alpha ministry on the campus of the University of Arkansas. That ministry raises funds with volunteer labor at each of the Arkansas Razorback home football games and Bobbye and I volunteered our services to help them. The Chi Alpha Director on the University of Arkansas Campus is a long long time friend Ronnie Hoover. We have been friends with Ronnie and his wonderful wife Dana since before they were married. They have done a tremendous work on the Campus and continue to deligently minister to College Students at the University of Arkansas. What a wonderful Chi Alpha ministry house they have built there as well. They are doing a great work in Fayetteville, Arkansas.

After the days work we attended the Arkansas Razorback vs the North Texas Green football game. I used to attend every Razorback game I possibly could back many many years ago. However, this was the first Razorback game I have attended in over 30 years. My big brother, Jerry, was one of the most avid Arkansas Razorback fans you have ever seen. He followed them closer than anyone I had ever seen at the time. On New Year's day, 1966 Bobbye and I, Jerry and his wife Hulane went to the Cotton Bowl where the Razorbacks played LSU. LSU beat us that day but it was a very memorable day for us since it was our honeymoon trip. We were married on December 26, 1965 and went to the Cotton Bowl with them for our honeymoon trip at New Years. Jerry was a barber and I was attending barber college and living with he and his wife before Bobbye and I married. Later in March of 1966 Jerry became very ill and underwent surgery where they found he was eaten up with cancer. He never recovered and in July of 1966 my 29 year old brother and avid Razorback fan passed away. He left behind a wife, a daughter and a son. Today that daughter's son, Andrew Davie, my deceased brother's grandson is the starting tight end for the Razorbacks. Heaven is now complete for Jerry with his grandson playing for the Razorback. I am not at all sure that people in heaven know what is happening on earth, however, if my big brother knows that his grandson is playing for the Razorbacks I am confident he has formed a Razorback club and is leading the Razorback cheer (that cheer is known of as "Callin' the Hogs") in heaven. Another common practice among Razorback fans is asking the question, 'how bout them hogs?' If he knows Andrew is playing I am confident he has ask many people in heaven, 'how bout them hogs.' Anyway, we went to watch Andrew play and very much enjoyed the evening at the stadium as the Razorbacks demolished their opponents.

Our meeting at First A/G in De Queen, Arkansas went really well also. I was very impressed with the church there and the responsiveness of the people. Our deepest appreciation to Pastor Ray Reynolds for having us at De Queen.

Also this past week our long time friends and former parishioners Charles and Sue Cousin came to Pope County, and Atkins, Arkansas, from Hugo, Oklahoma. They came to help their former Pastor (me) and his wife (Bobbye) on the remodeling work on our house. Charles is a jack of all trades and master at all of them. He got most of the electrical work done. We are only a few more rooms from having all the electrical work done, thanks to Brother Cousin and his good wife Sue.

Next Saturday, Oct 13, a team of men from Aroostook County, Maine are scheduled to arrive at our place to put the finishing touches on our house. These guys came down from Maine (36 hours one way) in April and did so much good for us. However, they have not been content because they were unable to finish what they started. So they are returning next week to finish the job. Our meeting here will conclude tonight. We've had a good time here with these good people. Pastor Love and his family were part of our church when we Pastor in Milan, Tennessee. We are delighted to have been with them in this meeting.

In September of 1985 Bobbye and I were elected Pastors of the First Assembly of God in Milan, Tennessee. We moved to Milan that month and have been residence of Tennessee ever since. In 1994 we resigned that church and have been traveling evangelists ever since. For convenience sake and some business purposes we have left our address in Milan all this time. We have know since 1994 that we would some day move our address back to our home state of Arkansas and due to several factors we feel that the time is right to now make that move. Therefore effectively immediately we will have a new mailing address. You can now mail us at P.O. Box 26, Atkins, AR 72823. Our phone numbers will remain the same .

It is important for you to be well aware that this move will in no way effect what we are currently doing in ministry, we will continue to be full time Evangelists. It is simply a move of address and no real change of ministry.

Though I've known that this move was coming I found myself a bit emotional about it yesterday when I filed the change of address form at the post office. I was 38 years old when we moved to Tennessee. Our girls were just little girls, Tina had graduated from High School in Arkansas before we moved here, but the other girls were very small. They have grown up in Tennessee. All four girls married in Tennessee, two of them are still residence of Tennessee. So we will forever be linked to Tennessee now. Actually Austin roots are in Tennessee from way, way back. From the information we have the Austin Family moved from Wayne County Tennessee, to Pope County, Arkansas in a 90 wagon wagon train in 1847. So I guess you could say I came back home when I move to Tennessee in 1985, however Arkansas is our real home and we are excited to be officially locating back to where our more recent roots are. We have made so many friends, contacts and connections in this state. So, we head home.

Again this is no change of ministry just a change of address. We will still be engaged in revivals and traveling near and far spreading the Word of God. We are simply changing our mailing address.

September 23 - 26, 2007

First Assembly of God

DeQueen, Arkansas

Rev. Thirteen years ago, I think it was the first Sunday of August 1994 I preached my farewell sermon here at First Assembly of God in Milan after having Pastored (or kept them from having a Pastor) here for nine years (Sept 1985-August 1994). Tomorrow I will, with great joy, return to the pulpit of this fine church as a guest speaker. I must confess I look forward to seeing all those who are still hear after 13 years. Many have gone on to be with the Lord and many for what ever reason just are no longer here. However, many are we look forward to a time of ministry and visitation with them. The congregation here is between Pastors and the Board ask us to fill in tomorrow. If you know of someone looking for a good church to Pastor tell them about First Assembly of God, Milan, TN.

We certainly enjoyed being with Pastor Myron Greer and the good folks at New Beginning Assembly of God in Cookeville, Tennessee this past week. This was the first revival in their new building. In fact they didn't even have the carpet down yet. It had been back ordered. It is now in and I think they will begin laying it this coming Monday (August 20). We saw three people baptized with the Holy Ghost on Wednesday night which just put the icing on the cake as far as the revival was concerned. Thanks Pastor Greer for having us and being such gracious hosts. And thanks for the invitation to come back.

Another matter now, on Monday Bobbye and I will be 35 years old. August 20, 1972 we gave our hearts to the Lord at First Assembly of God in Bryant, Arkansas. Rev. Elton Cole was preaching the morning I got saved and his wife Sis. Lucy Cole preached that night when Bobbye got saved. What an adventure it has been for 35 years. At the time I was a barber and owned my own shop at 4614 Asher Ave in Little Rock, AR. I had been working in that shop since I graduated from Barber College in March of 1966. At the time I had traveled very little, now 35 years later we have traveled in 47 states, 17 foreign countries and seven Provinces of Canada and met thousands and thousands of wonderful people. What a difference Jesus has made in our lives. At the time of our salvation we had one little girl, six years old, Karen Christina. Now we have four daughters, Tina, Marla, Lori and Jeni. Four terrific son in laws (no matter how much I may tease about them) Durwin, David, Dan and Rick. Seven beautiful Granddaughters Lyndsey (who by the way moved away from home on Friday, August 17 to enter a wonderful Master's Commission program at Central Assembly of God in Haughton, LA and we are praying for wonderful success for Lyndsey) Breanna, Serenna, Tori Beth, Adara, Abigail and Zion. Five grandsons Josh, Austin, Elisha, Josiah and Keenan. So there's now 22 of us when we all get together. God has blessed us so much in the last 35 years we could never thank Him enough for it, nor could we ever have dreamed 35 years ago where He was taking us. Thank God for these 35 years with Him, I only wish I had started sooner.

August 19, 2007

Two Services Only

Sunday morning and Sunday Night

First Assembly of God
Milan, TN

August 26, 2007

Christian Worship Center

Providence, KY

Rev. I pray all is well with you and your family. If you live down here in the South you know it has been very, very hot. It is so hot down here in fact we say a hound dog chasing rabbit the other day and both of them were walking. It is so dry here that we Pentecostals have postponed all water baptisms until there is more water available, our Baptist brethren are now only sprinkling and the Methodist are only using a damp cloth. So may the Lord send us some cooler weather and a little rain.

We closed our meeting with the good folks over in Alpena, Arkansas on Wednesday night. The meeting was a good success and we are thankful for what He did in Alpena. We had three baptized with the Holy Ghost in the services.

Thursday and Friday we drove a little over 500 miles to our destination here in Cookeville where our meeting starts tomorrow at New Beginning Assembly of God with Pastor Myron Greer. Pastor Greer and the good folks here at New Beginning have a brand new building. In fact it is so new that they have not gotten the carpet and baseboard in yet. I believe they told me that the carpet had been back ordered or it too would be installed. At any rate they are excited about being in the new building and about revival. Pastor Greer scheduled a dinner for Bobbye and I with his Board members last night and tonight we had a prayer meeting at 6:00 where about 25 people were in attendance. So, they are really serious about revival and I know God is not going to disappoint them. Please join us in pray for the revival this week.

I pray you have a blessed week.

Sam and Bobbye

August 12 - 15, 2007

New Beginning Assembly of God

Cookeville, TN

Rev. We are glad you have visited our website. Here's a bit of what has been happening and is happening in lives.

We closed our revival at First Assembly of God in Pea Ridge, Arkansas last Wednesday night. We had a great time in the Lord in Pea Ridge. There they have a Hispanic church that meets to worship in their building every Sunday afternoon so they were invited to join us for the revival. Also a couple of other Hispanic A/G churches came together with us as well. As a result each service was interpreted in to Spanish. We had nice crowds each night. One man rededicated his life to the Lord and one young lady was baptized with the Holy Spirit.

Thursday Bobbye and I relocated the coach and all our equipment to First A/G here in Alpena and the drove another hundred miles or so to our place in Pope County. Some worked needed to be done on our Suburban there. As a result we got to spend the first night in our remodeled house. It is not finished yet but it is in a condition where we can stay in it. It sure was nice to get to spend the night in it. We bought it five years ago next month and we have worked on it every chance we have had ever since then, finally we got to spend the night in it. PTL!!

We did some work in the place Friday and Saturday and returned here to Alpena today. We had a nice meal with Pastor and Mrs Bill Anderson this evening and did some catching up. We have known the Anderson's and preached for them off and on for over 30 years now. I can't believe that it's been that long but it has. They are wonderful people and we look forward to our meeting with them here this week.

Please join us in prayer for a great outpouring of the Holy Spirit here in Alpena this week.

Also please join us in prayer for our Assemblies of God Fellowship. Our General Council (for those of you who do not speak Assembly of God, that is our National Convention held every two years at which business for our Fellowship is done on a national level) is being held this week in Indianapolis, IN. Our General Superintendent, Assistant Superintendent and the Treasurer of our Fellowship will all have new people chosen to service in those offices this week. Our long standing leadership in these offices are stepping down and retiring. It is very important as to who is elected to fill these key roles in our Fellowship. Please pray with us about these elections.

There's another "Fresh Bread" article posted today, please check it out.

Be Blessed,

Sam and Bobbye

August 5 - 8, 2007

First Assembly of God

Alpena, Arkansas

Rev. Tonight we are in Pea Ridge, Arkansas. That is right up in the Northwest corner of the state. I understand that the Missouri border is only about 2 miles from here. We are just east of Bentonville, Arkansas, world headquarters of that struggling little chain of stores, Wal Mart. This area is one of the fastest growing areas of the entire U S of A.

We drove here yesterday going west on I-40 to I-540 which runs north from Van Buren, Arkansas. That is without one of the prettiest drives (from I-40 to this area) in the entire United States. I've traveled lots of places but that drive always amazes me. You northern folks need to come down and see it.

We start our revival meeting here at First Assembly of God where Bro. Edwin Brewer is the Pastor. Would you please join us in prayer for a great move of God here.

Two weeks ago tomorrow (July 15) I started a meeting at the Green Mountain Christian Center in Bennington, Vermont. We had a great meeting there, in fact we extended over an extra night because Pastor John Goyette just wanted his people to make a special effort to get folks out to hear the gospel. This afternoon I was contacted by Pastor and Linda Goyette telling me that lat night (July 27) lightning struck their beautiful building and burned the auditorium to the ground. Fire companies from 12 municipalities responded to the fire but were unable to save it. Local regulations required them to install a fire suppression system that cost $138,000 when the building was built a few years ago, and it still burned to the ground. Go figure. Tomorrow they will be worshipping on the lawn of the church. The church is not a building, but people who worship in the building, so the church will go on and it was fully insured for replacement costs but there's lots of work ahead for these folks. They ask me to ask you to pray for them, so please do so.

There's a new Fresh Bread article and a little new Family News as well.

Be blessed,

SUNDAY JULY 29 - WEDNESDAY AUGUST 1, 2007
First Assembly of God
Pea Ridge, AR
Rev. I pray all is well with you, you family and the work of the Lord you are associated with.

My report from the weekend I preached at Full Gospel Assembly in Mars Hill, Maine is a good one. We had a great day. These are some of the most choice people in the entire world there in Mars Hill. I stayed in the Parsonage with Pastor and Sis. Bell. They have a very nice private place for visiting preachers to stay in their upstairs. And it's always a joy to eat Sis. Bell's cooking.

The Sunday morning service was well attended and they received my preaching with great interest. I preached the sermon, "How Did I Ever Get Here?" I used Jonah's experience in the fishes belly supposing that no doubt one of the questions in the mind of this "out of the will of God" prophet must have been, "How Did I Ever Get Here." Well, I will not preach the entire sermon here but the people received it very well and a number of them said it just filled the bill for them that day.

The Sunday night service saw more people in attendance than on Sunday morning. The good folks across the border over in Canada at Limestone Siding Pentecostal Church, lead by Pastor Alvin Dee, let their service out and joined us at Mars Hill, as did Pastor Andy De Rier and his congregation from the Easton Pentecostal Church in Easton, ME. WOW, did we have a Pentecostal time!? Great singing, great testimonies and I hope the preaching was good. The altar service was wonderful also. I preached "You Might Be A Redneck!" Actually you need to get a copy of that sermon. I can't explain it here in print. Just let me say the church and the world needs more Rednecks. Not the kind you are thinking about ('You might be a Redneck if you've ever made change in the offering plate at church." "You might be a Redneck if the Pastor at your church asks Bubba to come help take up the offering and 3 men and 2 women get out of their seats and come to help," not that kind of Redneck) but the kind of Redneck indicated by the true origin of the Word. Just get the tape or CD. Email me and I'll work it out with you.

This week just past, July 15-18, found me at the Green Mountain Christian Center in Bennington, Vermont. We had a great time in Bennington. In fact it was so good that Pastor Goyette ask me to stay over and extra night. Six people received the Baptism with The Holy Ghost with the evidence of speaking with other tongues on Wednesday night. We had a time. Bennington, Vermont is right in the corner of Vermont, Massachusetts where they border NY. It is one beautiful place.

Tonight, I am in Tewksbury, MA preparing to preach tomorrow at the Lowell Assembly of God for Pastor Richard Bertrand. With your prayers aiding us we are going to have a great day tomorrow (July 22).

On Monday, I fly out of Boston and head back to where God kissed the earth, Arkansas. I've been gone for over three weeks now and I'm looking forward to getting home and seeing my wife and Tilly the evangelistic dog (and in that order too.)

I've posted some family news, so check out that page and a little Fresh Bread too, so check them both out.

Be blessed and thanks for your prayers for the service tomorrow, the flight home and the meeting starting next Sunday July 29 at Pea Ridge, AR.

SUNDAY JULY 22, 2007

Sunday Morning and Sunday Night ONLY

Lowell Assembly of God

Tewksbury, MA

Rev. Sterling Lawerence is the Pastor. We had a great time at Bethel even though it was the week of the fourth of July. His people came out wonderfully considering all the activities surrounding the holiday. Wednesday night we had all most as many, if not more, in attendance, than we on Sunday night. I think that speaks very highly of the people of that assembly's hunger for revival. One gentleman received the baptism with the Holy Ghost during the meeting.

I will be preaching here in Mars Hill, Maine on Sunday July 8 for Pastor Richard Bell. It's been a few days since we have had access to the Internet enough to update the site. One week we were in Mountianair, NM and the following week we were in Grants, NM. Mountianair is a very small little town in the mountains of New Mexico, about 80 miles SE of Albuquerque. It's a nice little town and we made some great friends there as well as enjoying wonderful services with them, but it is a bit remote there. I use a Cingular Internet card in my laptop to connect to the Internet. Even when you have a good signal it is slow at it's best. In Mountainair there was "no" signal and in Grants they was just barely a signal. So, we have been out of touch with our friends. However, we are now back in Arkansas at our Ponderosa and the signal here is pretty good.

Our tour in New Mexico came to a very successful end on Wednesday night, June 20. Our tour to the great Southwest was a very good success, we were very blessed to get to minister in this great state again.

I believe I've already given you the details of our meeting at Trinity Family Church in Albuquerque.

At Mountainair we were with Bro. Ed and his good wife Della Rimer. Many of you are familiar with Bro. Rimer, he was on the evangelistic field for a number of years do teachings on The Book of Revelations. They have now been in Mountainair for about 2 years. Six were filled with the Holy Spirit in Mountainair.

From Mountainair we move over to Grants, NM the following week and preached for Bro Rudy and Sis Barbara Alderete at the Lighthouse Christian Center there. Four were filled with the Spirit there on Wednesday night.

Bobbye and I left Grants at 7:15 A.M. on Thursday morning. We drove 12 hours to El Reno, OK where we spent the night. We had a little air conditioning problem in Amarillo. I spent about an hour on top of the coach in the bright sunshine working on it. I got it going, at least somewhat, and we headed on down the road (the RV service guy came by today and determined that some blades and the outer ring has come off of the squirrel cage fan in the front a/c unit). We left El Reno at about 7:30 A.M. on Friday morning and go in here at noon, 905 miles later. Thank God for a safe trip.

Bobbye has spent the day today (Saturday, June 23) with her Mom and sisters. Our building advisor, Evangelist Dean Caldwell, came down this morning and gave me some advice on some work to be done on the house this week, then I spent some of the afternoon working on the 50 amp plug I am mounting on the outside of the house to plug the coach into. Tonight we are just chillin' in the motor home and resting. This afternoon it all caught up with me. I just flat ran out of energy and had to quite earlier than I wanted to.

We are off this coming week. However, I will be flying out next Saturday (June 30) for a four Sunday tour into Maine, Vermont, and Mass Bobbye is not going with me on this round, seems she has some grandmothering duties in mind in LA and TN in mind while I'm on this tour.

Please notice I have posted a new survey here on the home page. I'm just curious about what are the habits of Christians while they are on vacation. Please take a minute do the survey.

My wife and kids bought me a new MP3 player for Father's Day and I'm really enjoying it. If you know of any good Christian Podcasts send me an email at www.saustin220@aol.com and tell me about it.

July 1 - 4, 2007

Bethel Pentecostal Church

Oakfield, Maine

Rev. We arrived there on Thursday.

Our revival at Trinity Family Church in Albq. this week was a tremendous success. We had at least 8 baptized with the Holy Ghost. There was a wonderful altar service in each meeting. What a blessing it was to be with Bro. Mac and Sis Jenetta Bernard again. We look forward to going back there next year.

There is very little cell phone service in the Mountainair and absolutely no service by which I connect to the Internet. I have come into Belen, NM this morning, about 45 miles, to get some stuff at Wal Mart, so I brought my laptop to check my email, and I'll be returning to Mountainair in just a few minutes and will not be back to cell phone territory until Thursday or Friday. So I'll be out of touch with email until then.

Be blessed and have tremendous week,

Sam and Bobbye

June 10- 13, 2007
Assembly of God
103 S. It is actually in a huge hole in the ground. When you are coming into Albuquerque, from either direction, on I-40 you go down hill forever getting in here. However, when you come in from the East you think you are "never" going to get to bottom of the decline. The climb out, going west, starts at the Rio Grande river and ends at the top of what they call here, Nine Mile Hill. I have been told it is 9 miles from the river to where it flattens out a bit. The church where we are sits a bit elevated on the west side of the river.

I was out early this morning and saw several hot air balloons floating in the sky. There was little or no wind this morning and they were just hanging there. They were beautiful. In October the largest balloon festival in the world is held here. Last year there were 700 balloons registered from 41 states and 19 foreign countries. I'm sure that would be breath taking to see hundreds of huge balloons in the air, I was kinda fascinated by the half dozen or so I saw this morning.

I pray you are having a blessed week and that you are enjoying the blessing of the Lord.

June 3 - 6, 2007

Trinity Family Church

5621 Paradise Blvd

Albuquerque, NM

Dr. Jerry M. We began our revival meeting here on today (May 20) at the Harvest Time Assembly of God where Bro. Jerry Shinn and his wife Jeraldean are the Pastors. These wonderful Pastors have been here now for over 20 years. Isn’t wonderful? What a remarkable record of 20 years of faithfully serving this congregation. The church has grown physically, numerically, financially and in every regard under their leadership. It is an honor to get to serve them, again, as an evangelist.

The is a very tramatic week for
