• Joshua 2 states that those who came from Israel to spy out Jericho were being sought by the enemies. Verse fifteen says that Rahab let these men down the wall by a rope through the window.
• In 1 Sam. 19 Saul was pursuing David to kill him. Michal, David’s wife, let him down through a window and he escaped the attempt on his life, V.12 .
• In Acts 9 a murderous plot was planned against the new Christian, Saul. They watched the gate day and night to destroy this yet future Prophet. Disciples took him by night and let him down through the wall in a large basket and he was delivered, V.23-25. Their efforts allowed Saul, who of course later became Paul, to go on and fulfill the call of God on his life.
